Each year, millions of toner and ink cartridges end up in landfills, taking hundreds of years to break down and releasing harmful substances into the environment. While they may seem like small items, their cumulative impact is massive, contributing to plastic waste, resource loss, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Through our advanced processing systems, we:
Recover plastics, metals, and residual toner
Support brand and OEM take-back programs
Reduce waste and environmental impact
Close the loop through circular product innovation
With more than 50,000 Australian organisations, including schools, councils, retailers, and businesses, Close the Loop is helping entire sectors reduce waste and meet sustainability goals

Recovered toner powder plays a key role in our TonerPlas® technology, a durable, flexible asphalt additive used to create longer-lasting, lower-carbon road assets across Australia. Plastics from cartridges are also reused in packaging and construction.
TonerPlas® has already supported over 1,500 + kms of high-performance roads, including the Victorian Government’s “Most Sustainable Freeway in Australia” project with Downer and CPB Contractors.
