Close the Loop® works closely with 10 of Australia's leading cartridge manufacturers who cover the cost of collecting and recycling the cartridges, enabling us to provide this service to our customers.

Canon is a leader in environmental preservation and supports a wide range of environmental programs including a global cartridge recycling scheme which is currently the largest of its kind.

Harmony with the global environment has been a management priority within EPSON since its establishment, under the theme of "Co-existence". Across its global operations EPSON aims to transform all processes to reduce their environmental impact, design products to minimise resource consumption, and promote the recovery and recycling of used products.



Over the past decade HP has kept around 59,000 tonnes of used cartridges out of landfill and recycled more than 47 million cartridges worldwide. The aim is to deliver environmentally sustainable solutions with efficient products and creative recycling systems to reduce landfill and protect our environment.

IBM's corporate policy on environmental affairs, first issued in 1971, is supported by the company's environmental management system, which is the key element of the company's efforts to achieve results consistent with environmental leadership and ensures the company is vigilant in protecting the environment across all of its operations worldwide. To complement our existing environmental initiatives, IBM is proud to introduce its Printer Supplies Return Program in Australia. Through this program IBM will sponsor the collection and proper disposal of our clients' printing supplies.

This is demonstrated through the implementation and monitoring of Environmental management practices, and the principles of Reduce, Re-use and Recycle throughout all our business processes.



Lexmark is a leading global developer, manufacturer and supplier of printing solutions. Lexmark places extreme importance on its environmental standards having several programs in place to ensure empty cartridges are collected from users for recycling.

Panasonic Australia is part of the global Matsushita Group of electronics manufacturing & sales companies. Matsushita’s philosophy is 'Contribution to Society' & 'Aiming for Coexistence with the Global Environment' where we seek to take responsibility for the end-of-life recycling and reuse of these products.

All manufacturing facilities of the Matsushita Group are certified to ISO 14001. Matsushita compile and issue an Environmental Sustainability Report annually.

Panasonic Australia's two NSW locations have now achieved certification to ISO14001 with other branches to follow.

Environmental Management is one of Ricoh Australia's highest corporate priorities. As a company we will continually adapt processes and practices to reduce, reuse and recycle all Ricoh trade waste. Our short-term goal is to have zero Ricoh Trade Waste to landfill by 2005.
